Mag. Art. Magdalena Schindler, freelance conservator, Vienna

Magdalena Schindler studied conservation-restoration of mural paintings and architectural surfaces at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Since 2012 she is working as a self-employed restorer (in this field) and currently also as a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Furthermore she took the role of the Vice Secretary-General for the IIC Austria in 2014.

Mag.art. Alexandra Sagmeister, freelance conservator, Vienna

Alexandra Sagmeister studied conservation-restoration of “Mural Paintings and Architectural Surfaces” at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna.Since 2009 she has been self-employed as conservator in this area.
Her social and work life is based in Vienna -though often moved to other parts of Austria due to the immobility of the objects she works on. In June 2015 Alexandra took on the role of accountant assistant for IIC Austria.

Valerie Thausing-Aichberger studied Conservation and Restoration of Paintings, Sculptures and painted Surfaces at the University of Applied Arts. After her graduation in 2012 she worked as an employed conservator. In 2015 she opened her own workshop and started to work as a free-lanced conservator. In 2014 she finished a course about Cultural Management at the Institut für Kulturkonzepte and in 2015 she took part in the certifed programme about Exhibition Development at the Danube University Krems.

Anne Biber studied Conservation and Restoration at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. She is specialized in the conservation of modern materials and preventive conservation. After her graduation in 2012, she worked as objects conservator at Wien Museum and as freelance conservator in Vienna. Currently she operates as consultant for preventive conservation for the Museum Retz (project “Qualitätsoffensive Museumsdepots”) and as scientific assistant of the Collections Department of Vienna Technical Museum.
